Description

O Estilo Barroco está patente em cada centímetro deste edifício do século XVIII, constituído por uma capela forrada a talha dourada "ao estilo nacional" e por duas salas. Uma das paredes laterais é constituída por um troço da muralha medieval. O edifício encontra-se revestido de silhares de azulejos azuis e brancos, tanto na escadaria como no seu interior, representando uma "figura de convite" no pátio de entrada e cenas do quotidiano palaciano. Os pavimentos estão decorados com azulejos de figuras avulsas e alternados com tijoleira vermelha. A sala do Despacho tem a abóbada pintada com cenas alusivas a São Pedro Gonçalves, conhecido por Corpo Santo, protetor dos pescadores, armadores e navegantes.
