Description
Português: Casa de Dona Yayá - Vista Entrada. Dona Yayá, filha de um rico fazendeiro, político e empresário de Mogi das Cruzes, teve uma vida trágica. Suas irmãs morreram ainda crianças (uma asfixiada, outra de tétano), perdeu seus pais aos 13 anos e seu irmão, diagnosticado com distúrbios mentais, jogou-se ao mar em uma viagem de navio à Buenos Aires. Tornou-se a única herdeira da família Melo Freire e após contrair a gripe espanhola, começou a apresentar sinais de demência. Viveu enclausurada nesta casa até seu falecimento.
English: Yayá's House - Entrance View. Yayá was a daughter of a rich farmer, politic and businessman from Mogi das Cruzes and had a tragic life. Her sisters died during childhood, Yayá's parents died when she was only 13 and his brother, diagnosed with mental disorder, threw himself into the sea during a ship trip to Buenos Aires. She became the only heiress from Melo Freire family. After having contracted Spanish flu, she presented dementia signs. She lived enclosed in this house until her decease.
