Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Carved stone head on side chapel to St Brynach's Church, Nevern (Nanhyfer), near Newport / Trefdraeth This broken medieval carving is on the stair turret of the side chapel, above the lower slit window. Probably repositioned here from the interior of the church since it appears to be a corbel designed to support a roof truss. It has no obvious architectural function on the outside wall and is the only such face carving on this chapel. Maybe someone knows more and can suggest a better explanation.
