English: Istanbul formerly known as Byzantium and Constantinople, is the most populous city in Turkey and the country's economic, cultural and historic center. Istanbul is a transcontinental city in Eurasia, straddling the Bosporus strait (which separates Europe and Asia) between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea.
Deutsch: Istanbul früher Byzantion (Byzanz) und Konstantinopel, ist die bevölkerungsreichste Stadt der Türkei und deren Zentrum für Kultur, Handel, Finanzen und Medien. Mit rund 15,06 Millionen Einwohnern nahm die Metropolregion 2018 den 15. Platz unter den größten Metropolregionen der Welt ein. Mit jährlich knapp zwölf Millionen Touristen aus dem Ausland ist Istanbul überdies die Stadt mit der achtgrößten Besucherzahl der Welt.
Hrvatski: Istanbul na hrvatskom se još naziva ili nazivao Carigrad, Stambol ili Stambul, grad smješten na Bosporskom tjesnacu, nekadašnja je prijestolnica triju velikih carstava - rimskog (330.-395.), bizantskog (395.-1453.) i otomanskog (1453.-1923.). Nakon osnivanja moderne Republike Turske, Ankara je proglašena njezinim glavnim gradom. Ipak, Istanbul je najveći grad u Turskoj, te je njeno kulturno i gospodarsko središte.
Bahasa Indonesia: Istanbul yang dalam sejarah juga dikenal sebagai Konstantinopel dan Bizantium, adalah kota terpadat di Turki yang menjadi pusat perekonomian, budaya, dan sejarah negara tersebut. Istanbul merupakan kota lintas benua di Eurasia yang membentang melintasi Selat Bosporus di antara Laut Marmara dan Laut Hitam. Pusat perdagangan dan sejarahnya terletak di sisi Eropa, sementara sekitar sepertiga penduduknya tinggal di sisi Asia.
