English: Château de Carrouges (14ème au 16ème siècle, classé MH, 1926) - le Châtelet d'entrée (16ème siècle)

Le châtelet d'entrée, cantonné de quatre tourelles circulaires, date du 16e siècle et fut probablement construit par Jean Le Veneur. C'est un pavillon à deux étages. Sa construction associe des briques rouges et noires. Son style Louis XII est caractéristique de cette période de transition entre le Gothique et la Renaissance. Château de Carrouges (14th to 16th century, classified MH - French National Heritage, 1926) - the entrance Châtelet (16th century) The entrance castle, with four circular turrets, dates from the 16th century and was probably built by Jean Le Veneur. It is a two-storey pavilion. Its construction combines red and black bricks. Its Louis XII style is characteristic of this transition period between the Gothic and the Renaissance. It is gothic by the composition of its decoration, by the pinnacles or the presence of hooks on the triangular gables; it is Renaissance by the treatment of these elements.
