Description

Colorized front view of the brick Carnegie library and high school buildings, facing North (now Shinnick) Street between Fifth and Sixth Street. Third Zanesville high school opened in 1908, designed by local architect, Harry C. Meyer, in modified English collegiate style. Foregound shows dirt streets with street-car tracks.
