English: West face of the south pillar associated with the Carndonagh High Cross. The relief depicts a bishop (note the crozier in the lower left corner) with crossed arms holding a book with the left arm and a bell with the right arm. Belongs to the National Monument #271 in State Care. See entry 1532, description on p. 250, and plate 31 in Brian Lacy: Archaeological Survey of County Donegal, ISBN 0-9508407-0-X, and p. 38 (named Stone A) in Sean Beattie: Ancient Monuments of Inishowen, North Donegal, ISBN 0-9520481-1-6. Note that the depicted face points actually east due to the relocation of the monument.
