Français : ...La marquise douairière d'Ecquevilly, mère du commandant du Vautrait, vêtue d'une robe verte égayée de soutaches rouges, est assise de profil à gauche dans une bergère jaune, d'où elle tend les bras vers sa petite fille certainement Adelaide Honorée), tenue devant elle en lisière par une bonne sur un tabouret bleu. Le comte de Joyeuse (en habit noir, avec l'épée au côté et la Croix de Saint Louis sur la poitrine) est accolé au dossier du fauteuil et se complait à regarder l'enfant, dont il est le grand père maternel.
