Summary
[edit]DescriptionCarmarthen Velodrome (geograph 6881946).jpg |
English: Carmarthen Velodrome. I never cease to be amazed at the things I discover when out exploring. Approaching this arena I was expecting a sports field or most likely a rugby pitch being Wales, but no it's a velodrome and not just any velodrome, the oldest concrete velodrome in continuous use in the world. It is in Carmarthen Park and opened on Easter Monday 1900. |
