| Description |
English: Minister of National Security of Belize Carlos Perdomo, cropped from: Carlos Perdomo, Belize's minister of national security, speaks during a Project Handclasp ceremony at the Belize Defence Force's air wing in Ladyville, Belize, Nov. 25, 2009. During the ceremony, approximately 45 Project Handclasp pallets were turned over from assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) to the Belize government for distribution. Wasp is deployed on Amphibious-Southern Partnership Station with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy, which focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
