Description
Español: Fotografía: Ángel Cantero / 16-11-2013 • Tuvo lugar en Valladolid las ceremonias de Vela de Armas y Cruzamiento de la Lugartenencia de España Occidental de la Orden de Caballería del Santo Sepulcro de Jerusalén. Estos actos, que históricamente se celebraban en Jerusalén, comenzaron efectuarse en España tras el ingreso en la Orden, en el año 1906, del Rey Alfonso XIII.

Es la primera vez en la historia de esta casi milenaria Orden que la capital vallisoletana sirve de escenario para sus ceremonias más representativas, que fueron oficiadas por el Gran Prior de la Lugartenencia, el vallisoletano S.E.R. Fray Carlos Cardenal Amigo Vallejo, (en la foto) acompañado por el Gran Prior emérito S.E.R. D. José Manuel, Cardenal Estepa y Llaurens y por el Arzobispo de Valladolid, S.E.R. Monseñor D. Ricardo Blázquez Pérez.

El viernes día 15, a las 17:30 h. se celebró la ceremonia de Vela de Armas y Vigilia de Oración en la Iglesia Conventual de San Pablo; y el sábado 16, a las 11:00 h. tuvo lugar la ceremonia de Cruzamiento en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Valladolid, en la que un sacerdote, doce caballeros y una dama entraron a formar parte (cruzados) de la Orden de Caballería del Santo Sepulcro de Jerusalén. Hicieron su promesa sobre la espada y las espuelas de Godofredo de Bouillón, su fundador.
