English: Three different Direct Rail Services trains meet up at Carlisle. On the right is 68017 which is working a charter train to Norwich with sister locomotive 68005 on the back. The older diesel on the left is 57304 which is on 'Thunderbird' duties in case of a breakdown. In the distance are 88009 and 88002 working a nuclear flask train to Kingmoor Yard in the north of the city. The wagons on the left are waiting for the autumn to start when they will be use din 'leaf busting' rail cleaning trains. |
