Proveniens Type: samling Tidligere placering: Industriforeningens Bibliotek Beskrivelse Carl Lunds Fabriker blev grundlagt i 1871. Carl Lund startede oprindeligt med at lave kasser til brændsel, men udvidede hurtigt produktionen til brødbakker, kakkelovnsskærme og petroleums kogeapparater. Senere fulgte et sortiment af metalvarer og fra 1886 produktionen af emaljeskilte. Carl Lunds fabrikker var længe den største i branchen, specielt da Carl Lund på et tidligt tidspunkt investerede i en fabrik i Malmø. I 1916 var Carl Lund med til at stifte aktieselskabet "Aktieselskabet International Emaljeindustri", og hensigten var at oprette filialfabrikker i udlandet. Efter en lovende start, blev det dog en stor fiasko med store tab, og Carl Lunds fabrikker led store tab og genvandt aldrig sin tidligere styrke. I 1926 indledtes et samarbejde med den næststørste virksomhed i branchen Glud & Marstrand, hvilket endte med en overtagelse i 1932. Glud & Marstrand A/S er i dag Skandinaviens største producent af metalemballage og er blandt de største i Europa. Chr. Cato Litografiske Etablissement, København (trykker) Datering ca. 1888 |
