Description
English: Items that belonged to Carl Gustav Fleischer (1882–1942), a Norwegian general who recaptured the city of Narvik during the battles in May 1940. He thus became the first allied general to inflict a defeat on Hitler's Germany and the German forces in World War II.
  • Officer's uniform for the Norwegian Army. "Mountain gray" model 1934 uniform, with general insignia on the tunic collar, Norwegian lion emblem on the uniform buttons, pointed cuffs, green piping and green stripes on the trousers, and "Norway" on a cloth patch at the top of the left sleeve.
  • Ribbon bars over the left chest pocket:
  • Travel trunk
  • Officer's visor cap, British-style peaked cap, with red hat band and Norwegian cap badge: cockade in national colors, braid, and an enameled button with the Norwegian lion.
