Description |
The Argus of 42 GRT was built in Nykøbing Falster in 1854 by E.C. Benzon for the Danish Revenue Service. In 1894 her name was changed to Krydsfartøj Nr. 13, as a new Argus was being built. The sailing Revenue Service was disbanded in 1904 and the vessel was sold to F. Hallgrimsen of Rønne. He named her Ingolf, but she was lost in January 1905 in Eskifjördur, Iceland. She was sold in 1865 to Christian Thomsen of Korsør. Source: http://www.jmarcussen.dk/maritim/skibsliste/side.php?id=10216 (in Danish). |
