Left: The Carey House (built ca. 1880), 317 West 4th Street, is historic but does not contribute to the significance of the historic district due to extensive alterations. Right: The Wall House (built ca. 1864), 313 West 4th Street, is a primary contributing resource in the historic district. A significant and highly distinct addition from ca. 1890 is not visible in this photograph. Background: In the background are the old St. Peter's Catholic Church and Vogt Hall, both also contributing historic resources. |
