Summary

[edit]
Description
English: New Army Pass area, here west of the pass in a meadow, was the only area along the JMT where small head sedge was observed in abundance. At this site on the west side of New Army Pass, Carex illota coexists with other sedge species as well as with the grass species Trisetum spicatum (with the dark spike inflorescences) and Calamagrostis muiriana (with the reddish purple diffuse panicles).
