DescriptionCareg Cennen Castle2.jpg |
Throughout its active existence Carreg Cennen was a scene of constant battles, exchanging hands many times, not just between the English and the Welsh, but between feuding Welsh families. The building seen here was remodelled in about 1300 from an original built in 1180. It was finally reduced by the House of York in 1461 during the Wars of the Roses, and has remained a ruin ever since |
