Description
English: Rare, raw, unedited and original photos of the Bighead carp [1] (Hypophthalmichthys nobilis or Aristichthys nobilis (Richardson, 1845) is a freshwater fish, one of several Asian carps. It has a large, scaleless head, a large mouth, and eyes located very low on the head. Adults usually have a mottled silver-gray coloration. Carp fishing[2] is a common name for various species of freshwater fish of the family Cyprinidae,[3] a very large group of fish native to Europe and Asia. Bighead carp is usually grown together with tilapia or milkfish in Laguna de Bay or Lake. Larvae and juveniles prefer to feed on zooplankton, while adults feed on both phyto- and zooplankton. [4] carp culture Grows fast, reaching 2-4 kilograms in 4-6 months[5] & ---- Arius manillensis[6] is a species of marine catfish[7] endemic to the island of Luzon, Philippines. It is commonly known as the Manila sea catfish or kanduli. It is fished commercially. Arius manillensis was first described by the French zoologist Achille Valenciennes in 1840. It belongs to the genus Arius[8] of the subfamily Ariinae, family Ariidae (ariid or fork-tailed catfishes). ther common names of the species include kandule, dupit, kiti-kiti, tabangongo, and tauti.[9]Salmon catfish -- Fish farming[10] is the principal form of aquaculture, while other methods may fall under mariculture: Sea Catfish (Kanduli)
