English: This is an exploding pod of Cardamine impatiens, a common weed in Europe and America. This manner of dissemination is called auto-dissemination or autochory.
Italiano: Baccello esplosivo di Cardamine impatiens, pianta infestante comune nei prati in Europa e America. Ogni pianta produce uno stelo con numerosi baccelli pieni di semi (una ventina di semi in ogni baccello) che giunti a maturazione esplodono al minimo contatto o sollecitazione, lanciando i semi a distanza. La disseminazione autonoma viene definita autodisseminazione o autocoria (in questo caso viene detta più precisamente bolocoria, in quanto avviene lanciando i semi, mentre barocoria quando i semi cadono per semplice gravità). |
