oeuvre de Charles-Théodore Frère (dit) Frère Bey (1814-1888) 1883 Peinture à l'huile Reims, musée des Beaux-Arts

Cette exposition sur l'oasis d'Al Ula, située dans le nord ouest de l'Arabie saoudite, est financée par ce pays dans le but de contribuer à sa promotion touristique et culturelle. Elle a ainsi bénéficié de moyens très importants. Les fims et photographies sont signés par Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Le site d'Al Ula et en particulier les vestiges de la cité de Hégra, a été fouillé par une équipe franco-saoudienne dirigée par une chercheuse française du CNRS : Laïla Nehmé qui est co-commissaire de l'exposition. lejournal.cnrs.fr/articles/hegra-livre-ses-splendeurs
