Vallcebre és un municipi de la comarca del Berguedà, Les caramelles són unes cançons populars típiques de la Catalunya Vella, que es canten per Pasqua per celebrar la bona nova de la resurrecció de Jesús, tot i que també tenen caràcter profà. Els intèrprets o “caramellaires” són grups d'infants o d’adults que surten a cantar per les cases i les masies del municipi, amb l’acompanyament d’alguns instruments. Tradicionalment els caramellaires recollien ous o diners que la gent els donava i en feien un àpat col·lectiu, principalment ouades, el mateix dia, a la tarda, o uns quants dies més tard. A Catalunya les caramelles tenen els seus inicis al segle XVI, però es fa difícil datar la tradició a Vallcebre. Segons els nostres informants, la tradició oral es remunta a uns cent anys, però la seva història podria ser molt més antiga.
English: The Caramelles de Vallcebre' is an element included in the inventory of the intangible cultural heritage of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, an inventory carried out by the Institute of Intangible Cultural Heritage (IPACIM).
Vallcebre is a municipality in the region of Berguedà, Les caramelles are popular songs typical of the Catalunya Vella, which are sung at Easter to celebrate the good news of the resurrection of Jesus, although they also have a profane character. The performers or "caramellaires" are groups of children or adults who go out to sing in the houses and farmhouses of the municipality, accompanied by some instruments. Traditionally the candy makers collected eggs or money that people gave them and made a collective meal, mainly eggs, on the same day, in the afternoon, or a few days later. In Catalunya candies have their beginnings in the 16th century, but it is difficult to date the tradition in Vallcebre. According to our informants, the oral tradition goes back about a hundred years, but its history could be much older.
