Summary
[edit]DescriptionCaractors document, by John Whitmer - Church History Museum - 25 March 2024.jpg | Sometimes called the 'Caractors document,' this slip of paper includes characters written by John Whitmer. The characters were purportedly copied from the Gold Plates, which were translated and published as the Book of Mormon. Photograph taken while the document was on display at the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City during the Sacred History: Treasures from the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ exhibition, held soon after the document was acquired by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from the Community of Christ. Photographed through glass; the clear legs of the stand holding the document are visible towards the right side of the image. |
