English: Car Park, Greatstone Primary School The entrance from Baldwin Road travels over a hump that once contained the branch line to New Romney into a car park which once contained Greatstone-On-Sea station which opened in 1937 when the track was realigned in the hope of serving the new communities of Greatstone and Lydd-On-Sea. Both failed to materialise and the station was downgraded to a halt in 1954 and closed completely in 1967. The platforms were demolished in 1983. |
