Summary

[edit]

This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 85003076.

Description The Capital Club Building was constructed in 1930 as one of Raleigh's early downtown high-rises with Art Deco flourishes found throughout the building, standing twelve floors tall at the corner of Salisbury Street and Martin Street. Originally home to an exclusive gentleman's club on the top three floors, the rest of the building consisted of offices, with retail on the ground floor. Today, the building is home to offices, and though the namesake Capital Club no longer exists, the building is home to ab upscale bar at street level that continues to carry that name.
