Summary
[edit]DescriptionCapel Bangor Vale of Rheidol Railway geograph-3841679-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Vale of Rheidol (Narrow-gauge) Railway at Capel Bangor stopping-place, 1992. View northward, towards mountains (Mynyddgorddu, 1,020 ft.) west of Plynlimon in far distance, the village of Capel Bangor being about a mile away behind the trees and on the A44 trunk road running east up from Aberystwyth. The ex-GWR (former Cambrian Railways) 1ft. 11¾in. V of R line runs summer-only, becoming a thriving private operation in 1989: it runs from Aberystwyth (to left) - (to right) Devils' Bridge. No platforms were provided at this stopping-place until 2012. |
