| Description |
English: Caolfin Farm The local people know this as Caolfin Farm not Coalfin as it appears on the OS Explorer Map No.357. The photograph shows that there has been an extension of the area given over to forestry in recent years as shown by the plantation of young conifers which continues along the slope to the rear of the Primary School. This farm was the end of the only land route to Skipness until 1756, which went over the hill from Glenreasdell Farm (NR8658). To-day, Caolfin is also close to the path of the Tarbert to Skipness Walk. |
