Description
Español: Este árbol de Caoba, es el segundo de su especie, reconocido, como árboles patrimoniales de la provincia de Moyobamba. Se ubica en la esquina de la cuadra 5 de la calle Alonso de Alvarado, en el frontis de las oficinas de la Gerencia de Desarrollo Económico del Gobierno Regional de San Martín. Sembrada hace 25 años, por el señor Odil Saboya Cacique, ex colaborador de esta gerencia regional. Esta caoba, sirve como semillero, para seguir propagando esta valiosa especie, considerada como madera fina, para la elaboración de muebles de alto valor comercial.
