An action taken that involves considerable personal risk on their part and/or demonstrates judgement, zeal, or ingenuity that is instrumental in securing the safety of individual(s) or property involved at an emergency scene or in some cases a non-emergency scene. The application of which is such that it is above that which is "usually" expected in the performance of their duties in accordance with Fire Service and Department standards. |
