Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Cantley Sugarbeet Factory Built in 1912 it was the first beet processing factory in Britain. Before most of the sugar (from Sugarcane) was imported from abroad. When the beet was discovered to contain high levels of sugar East Anglia became important again. Most of the beet used to be transported by rail but now all of it is by road (silly really). The river is the Yare which also used to transport beet on Wherries.
