A bottle of Grand Cru Bruocsella 2007 vintage from <a href="http://www.cantillon.be/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Cantillon</a> in Brussels, Belgium, at Olympen in Oslo. Grand Cru Bruocsella 2007 is a lambic beer which spent 3 years in barrel before bottling, unlike the regular gueuze it's unblended - highly unusual for a lambic beer. Because of the 3 years on wood, it's virtually free of carbonation and looks and tastes more like a wood aged, dry cider! Not as sour as I had expected, but very good. Trivia: Label for the Grand Cru Bruocsella was painted by Raymond Goffin in 1989. |
