Description

This is the fourth typological window in the north Quire aisle. The top part of the window depicts Christ among the doctors, sitting amidst eight bearded men ("the 12-year-old Jesus in the midst of the doctors"). Moses and Jethro, representing the humility of Christ. Daniel among the elders ("the elders marvel at being taught by the utterances of a boy; thus the Pharisees are amazed by the answers of God"). The second medallion from the top depicts the miracle Cana, with six water pots being filled this leads on to The six ages of the world (referring to the six water pots).The figures are Adam, Noah, Abraham, King David, Jechoniah, and Christ. The six ages of man represented by a baby, a boy, youth, young man with sword, man with wallet and loaf, and a bald old man with a crutch. The miraculous draught of fishes, ("the fishing of the Apostles where the net breaks"). Noah in the Ark, opening the window to let the Dove return ("the first devouring flood, submerging everything with its pervading flow, purified all things and signified baptism"). Saint Peter with the church. The lowest medallion depicts the calling of Nathanial, showing him beneath the fig tree ("Whence knowest thou me?").

The bottom quarter panels depict the Gentiles and the Pharisees.
