English: Plaque on the cannon reads "This cannon weighing some 6800 lbs. is a 32 pounder built in 1820, and was used on board naval vessels of that time. It was found during the rebuilding of Pier 7 at the Boston Naval Shipyard in 1958. It is assumed to have been buried since 1900." Of note, Bunker Hill Monument can be seen in the background.
