Candle Snuffer
Description
English: A cast Post-Mediveal copper-alloy candle snuffer, dating to AD 1700 - 1800. The object has been formed from a conical piece of copper alloy, terminating at the apex with a collar and knop with a suspension ring. There is a wide raised collar decorating the base, and one slightly higher up with an L-shaped handle projecting from one side. Between the two raised bands is a small rectangular decorative strip, decorated with small moulded five petaled flowers. The object is hollow.
