Summary

[edit]
Description

RAF Wyton, 12 May 1989. Canberra's 40th Anniversary.

WT478, a T4 model, was painted blue to represent the first prototype VN799. The mother of all Canberras flew on 13 May 1949. Strangely enough, an other blue 'VN977' was on static. This was WJ877.

The sky looks great, but was really threatening. While the spotters and photographers waited to get on the base, the storm approached fast. I got most of the airplanes in sun light before the heavens opened.
