Summary
[edit]DescriptionCanal at the Coalport China Museum - geograph.org.uk - 1215071.jpg |
English: Canal at the Coalport China Museum. One of two bottle kilns can be seen on the right. The Hay Inclined Plane 70783 connects the western end of this canal with canals at a higher level. This canal runs parallel to the river Severn, and the connection with that river was a little further east, at Coalport. With tubs of coal, iron and crockery passing along it, this must have been the busy motorway of its period. |
