| Description |
English: Canal Walk, Swindon. Taken from a close approximation to this image from 1967 by Gordon Hatton 862425 the failed attempt at modern sculpture has long gone. It was built of concrete blocks which soon turned green and the 'moat' around it generated hours of fun for anyone with a bottle of washing up liquid about their person. The area has been re-paved and trees planted. The other big change is the presence of the DMJ tower in the next square west which went up in the late 1970s. |
