The whole groupof buildings, both old and new, will besprinklered throughout, and a 40,000 gall,tank will be erected to supplement thecity pressure. The storage sheds properwill be open both ends, and each trackbay will be equipped with rolling steeldoors raised and lowered by individualmotors. It is expected to have the newbuidings completed by December. Theapproximate cost is $220,000. Track Construction, Betterments, Etc.The Commission has about 2,000 menlaying new lines, changing old ones, in-stalling new intersections and makingother betterments on various parts ofthe system. The Dundas line from Keele St. is thefirst to be completely overhauled for theoperation of the new cars, it being oneof the lines with a wide devil strip.
