Inaddition to these established and profit-earning mines, prop-erties, in some cases, of exceptional promise are now opened ville, Que., which has lately made some important additionsto its plant. The Companys quarries and fibreizing plantare situated about three miles southeast of Danville, withwhich point communication is established by the Asbesto &Danville Railway. The quarries were first opened in 1879,and are situated on a ridge of serpentine rock covering anarea of nearly 100 acres. The asbestos is found in veins fromone-eighth inch to two or three inches, which occur through-out the whole mass of serpentine. The fibre in each vein isabsolutely pure, and its quality very fine and uniform. The
