Combs GYRATORYFOUNDRY Riddle Hang it Up on Anything Handy! Suppose a moulder gets into a crowded corner with a big pileof sand ahead of him. If he is an energetic person he will objectto the time wasted with an ordinary riddle that has legs tohinder his progress at every turn. Conditions such as this are profitably met with the COMBSGYRATORY FOUNDRY RIDDLE. No matter how little floorspace or how much work on hand, this device never cries sur-render, because it has no legs, and because it can be hung upon anything strong enough to support 98 lbs. The COMBS RIDDLE is proving a big factor in the economical pro-duction of castings because it mixes as well as sifts. This saves oneturning of the sand. Its capacity more than equals ten labourersusing hand riddles. The top illustration shows a Type V COMBS RIDDLE workingin crowded corner of the General Fire Extinguisher foundry atWarren, Ohio. The Gyratory motion of this machine is keeping theirupkeep costs extremely low.
