Summary
[edit]DescriptionCanadian National maintenance vehicle (5999051605).jpg |
In Britain most railways are pretty near roads. At least, there aren't many stretches that aren't. Out here in Canada, that's not true and as such maintenance vehicles like this one actually run in two modes. They can run on normal roads, or they can lift of their wheels (or catapiller tracks) and run on the rails instead like this one is doing. Behind it a white station wagon was doing likewise. Running on their normal engines, they can get quite a speed up which was quite handy as I was keeping my eyes open and there were few points for them to get on and off the track! |
