| Description |
c/n T33-231 Built in 1954 and delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force in March that year with the serial 21231. Struck off charge in February 1967 and by October 1978 she was at Chino in a dismantled state, still in Canadian markings. Registered as N10018 during 1986, she became N134AT that July, N333DV in February 1987 and then N36TH in November 1994. She was sold to the UK in 1999 and was flown to North Weald in Essex, where she went on the British civil register as G-BYOY in February 2000. Found to be in poor condition, she was deregistered in June 2005 and moved to the museum here in February 2010. She has since been painted to represent ’51-17415’ a Lockheed T-33A-1-LO Shooting Star operated by the 512th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, part of the 406th Fighter Interceptor Wing which was based here at Manston during the early 1950’s.
