On account of the relationship between physiographicalfeatures and geology the geographical provinces into whichwe have divided Canada for the purposes of description arethe natural geological provinces, each characterized by itsown particular rocks and structure and its own distinctiveeconomic minerals. Knowing in which geological provincea region lies, one can make a shrewd prediction as to itsgeneral character and the nature of its economic resources.
