Français : Cette grande fourmi est inféodée au désert du Namib. Sans eau, ni terreau, elles établissent leurs galeries dans les racines des graminées. appartient au genre fourmi charpentière. Les nids sont souvent tapissés de détritus - d'où son nom. Elle se déplace sur ses longues pattes pour se déplacer évitant ainsi des températures qui peuvent atteindre 60°. |
