Para mi, es dificil no acordarme de Soledad Barret ahora que Camila Vallejo visitó al país. Hay relaciones obvias entre ambas: su juventud, belleza y activismo. Soledad Barrett Viedma es asesinada el 8 de Enero de 1973 en Recife, Brasil. Fue una dirigente estudiantil paraguaya muy famosa por su belleza y por la facilidad de palabra. Era un símbolo, como Camila de sefine a si misma. Por eso mismo, fue secuestrada en 1962 por un grupo de neo-nazis, quienes no pudieron obligarla a gritar sus consignas. En represalia, le marcaron los muslos con svasticas. En 1973, fue traicionada y entregada por su pareja a la policía brasileña, quienes la asesinaron. Existe un poema de Mario Benedetti muy sentido, y una canción de Daniel Viglietti en donde se expresa el dolor por la pérdida de Soledad. Afortunádamente, tenemos la versión de ambos, cantando y recitando: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiCnHj40yOc" rel="nofollow">www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiCnHj40yOc</a> Camila tiene la fortuna de actuar en otro tiempo y lugar, un poco menos salvaje. Un lugar y un tiempo que, en gran medida, se construyó sobre la sangre de muchas y muchos, como Soledad Barret. por lo menos no habrá sido fácil cerrar tus grandes ojos claros tus ojos donde la mejor violencia se permitía razonables treguas para volverse increíble bondad y aunque por fin los hayan clausurado es probable que aún sigas mirando soledad compatriota de tres o cuatro pueblos el limpio futuro por el que vivías y por el que nunca te negaste a morir.
