Summary
[edit]DescriptionCambridge Locomotive Yard ex-GE 2-4-0 geograph-2865349-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Ex-GE 2-4-0 in Cambridge Locomotive Yard. View westward from the north end of Cambridge station, beside which the ex-GE Locomotive Depot was located. LNER (1946) No. 2794 (ex-7409) still had a temporary 'E' prefix in 1949; built by Holden in 6/1902 and withdrawn 8/55. In 1949 there was still plenty of branch line work based on Cambridge for these former express engines. |
