Summary
[edit]DescriptionCamas an Staca (2) - geograph.org.uk - 822766.jpg |
English: Camas an Staca (2) Camas an Staca (The bay of the stones) is the tallest of many standing stones on Jura, being approximately 12 feet in height. It is on open ground in an area that was at one time extensively cultivated, as is seen from the evidence of "lazy beds" in the area. It is thought that the stone may have served as a primitive calendar. The hills seen beyond the trees belong to Islay. |
