Description
Español: Los camaleones son saurópsidos escamosos de los que existen cerca de 161 especies.

Entre sus características destaca su habilidad de cambiar de color según las circunstancias, la estructura de sus patas, los ojos que pueden ser movidos independientemente uno de otro, la falta de oído y su lengua rápida y alargada.

Los camaleones varían grandemente en tamaño, desde el centímetro y medio de Bookesia minima hasta los 80 cm de Calumna parsonii. En España, encontramos el camaleón común (Chamaeleo chamaeleon), de clima mediterráneo y único representante del género en Europa, que mide alrededor de 30 centímetros.
