Description

Calypso bulbosa (L.) Oakes 20090519.1 Wells Gray Provincial Park, BC

This is a particularly fine year for calypsos for whatever reason. There was less snow than usual, but it was much colder than usual, then it was quite hot for a while in April... then there has been a ton of rain recently. One or more of these conditions apparently favors orchids! But not morels, sigh.
