English: Calshot Spit at sundown. Looking towards the spit from a concrete groyne, the still shallow water mirrors the sky. The ripples heading shorewards are from the wash of the Southampton-Cowes ferry. There is a sign on the road along the spit warning that large boats may create a significant wash. |
